At the beginning of each academic year, children in the Prep I, II and III classes are encouraged to consider their personal interests, passions and ideas before putting themselves forwards for a role on our Pupil Parliament. Roles include MP for Health and Wellbeing, MP for Education, MP for Environment, MP for Community, MP for Co-Curricular, MP for the Arts and MP for Technology. The roles of Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, Speaker of the House and Treasurer are also self-nominated from the children in the Prep III class. In true democratic spirit, following the campaign period, each class constituency takes to the polling stations with their ballot cards and every child casts their votes. In their bid to become the next school PM, this year saw pupils putting forwards some phenomenal ideas to shape school life. The introduction of a playground buddy system and even a termly school disco were particularly popular ideas with each class constituency.
