The Mulberry House School was inspected in June 2024 by the Independent Schools Inspectorate. A team of four inspectors visited the school over three days.
The new ISI framework, shifts away from a single-word judgement system and instead evaluates the pupil experience across four core areas, with safeguarding as a foundational element:
- Leadership and management, and governance
- Quality of education, training and recreation
- Pupils’ physical and mental health and emotional wellbeing
- Pupils’ social and economic education and contribution to society
- Safeguarding.
The report is a testament to the dedication and excellence of our entire school community, and we are extremely proud that the inspectors identified the incredible work that we do each day, particularly in identifying the significant strength of the school.
‘Leaders have implemented a wide programme of activities to enable pupils to embody British Values as active citizens in the school and wider community. This is a significant strength of the school. Pupils have a sophisticated knowledge and appreciation of human rights. They use opportunities provided to make their voices heard to identify and enact means of improving their school and the wider world. They are confident and self-assured, ready to challenge injustices and suggest solutions to resolve them.’
The Mulberry House School was found to have successfully met the standards in all areas. It is clear from the inspection report that the inspectors gained a genuine insight into what MHS stands for and we are proud to share this with the community.
