Attainment Data

KEY STAGE 1 ATTAINMENT DATA 2022-2023

These graphs represent the high academic standard achieved at the school. Assessment of children’s work takes place both internally and is externally moderated with other schools. These results and the outcomes of assessments for next schools at 7+ show that the curriculum is appropriately challenging to enable all children to succeed

Despite our non-selective policy, pupils continue to exceed National Averages in all areas of the curriculum.

At The Mulberry House School, 100% of our Year 2 pupils were meeting national expectations for Mathematics, Reading, Writing, History, Geography and Science at the end of Key Stage One. 100% of the cohort were also achieving the Year 3 expectations in Reading, Writing, Science, History and Geography a year ahead of national expectations. 88% of the cohort were already achieving the Year 3 expectations for Maths.

We feel that this is a result of a varied and balanced curriculum where all pupils are exposed to challenges and learn through discussion, enquire about the world around them and think for themselves.

PREP II NO MORE MARKING 2022-2023

The class took part in a National Writing Assessment as part of ‘No More Marking’. It is used by over 2,000 schools and uses a comparative judgement to provide schools with a detailed understanding of their students’ writing, compared nationally.

The data showed that of the 45,660 pupils who took part in the assessment, 19 pupils were from our Year 1 class. The average scaled score was 398 nationally and our pupils in the cohort achieved an average score of 478, well above national expectations. The children also had a national writing age of 5 years and 9 months and the pupils in the Prep II (Year 1) cohort achieved an average writing age of 7 years and 3 months, again, well above national expectations as shown below.

Of the 19 pupils that sat the assessments, 52% of pupils in the cohort had a GDS score which placed them in the top 8% of a nationally representative sample of writing as shown in the graph below.

PREP III NO MORE MARKING 2022-2023

The Prep III class took part in a National Writing Assessment as part of ‘No More Marking’. It is used by over 2,000 schools and uses a comparative judgement to provide schools with a detailed understanding of their students’ writing, compared nationally.
